Getting started is simpler than you think.

Connecting you with us

1

Reach out to our team.

Call us at 812-998-6176, email us at therapy@salienceneurorehab.com, send a fax to 812-901-6129, or fill out our online inquiry form. Tell us a little about your condition, when it occurred, your areas of concern, and what goal you most want to accomplish. You don't need a referral to contact us — just reach out. A real member of the Salience team will respond to you personally, not an automated system.

2

We will find your fit.

Every individual who contacts Salience receives a personal response from our team. We'll talk through your condition, your goals, and your situation to make sure Salience is the right fit for you — and to determine whether clinic-based or mobile outpatient therapy makes the most sense for your needs. If you're within 30 minutes of our Jasper clinic and prefer care at home, we'll arrange that. If you'd rather come to us and work with our state-of-the-art equipment including the Senaptec Sensory Station and Solo-Step Overhead Track System, we'll set that up too.

3

We build your plan and get to work.

Your first session begins with a thorough evaluation. We assess your strength, balance, coordination, communication, and daily living skills — and we listen carefully to what matters most to you. From there we build a personalized treatment plan around your salient goals. Because when therapy targets what's genuinely important to you, your brain engages faster, learns more effectively, and builds new connections more readily. That's not a philosophy — it's neuroscience. And it's the foundation of everything we do at Salience.

One-on-One Care. Expertise. Advanced Technology. Exceptional Outcomes.

Our state-of-the-art equipment

Our Senaptec Sensory Station is a state-of-art visual sensory evaluation & training station with concentrating on the individual's visual and sensorimotor/vestibular deficits and focusing on their needs for improvement. The Senaptec Sensory Station can be a valuable assessment tool because it provides objective measurements of visual, sensory, and cognitive-motor performance that are often affected by neurological conditions such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, Parkinson's disease, Multiple Sclerosis, concussion, and vestibular disorders.

The Senaptec Sensory Station:

  • Measures how quickly an individual can interpret and respond to visual information.

  • Assesses the ability to smoothly follow moving targets.

  • Evaluates rapid eye movements between targets.

  • Measures depth perception of the ability to judge distances accurately.

  • Assesses awareness of visual information outside the central field of vision.

  • Assesses the ability to detect objects against varying backgrounds.

Solo-Step Overhead Track System is a manual ceiling-mounted system that allows individuals the complete independence to focus on their balance and functional ambulation skills without the fear of falling. Many neurological patients develop a fear of falling, which can limit participation and slow recovery. The harness system provides security and confidence, encouraging patients to move more freely and attempt activities they may otherwise avoid. The system allows therapists to safely challenge their dynamic balance, weight shifting, obstacle negotiation, advanced gait training, and vestibular re-education retraining skills.

Frenzel goggles are a valuable tool in a neuro rehabilitation clinic because they help therapists assess and identify vestibular (inner ear) and neurological causes of dizziness, vertigo, imbalance, and abnormal eye movements. They allow the therapist to observe involuntary eye movements, called nystagmus, that may not be visible during a standard examination. They can help identify conditions such as: Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV), Vestibular hypofunction, Vestibular neuritis, Labyrinthitis, Central vestibular disorders following stroke or brain injury.
